FREE CHECKLIST

Does your website

back up your reputation?

Someone recommends you. Then they look you up.

This free checklist walks you through your site the way a prospect does, from Google to your inbox, so you can spot what’s quietly putting people off. Most fixes are just a change of wording.

24 tick-box checks in six short sections, from your homepage headline to your contact page

Before-and-after examples of the small wording changes that make the next step clearer

A simple rule for honest answers: only tick a box if a stranger would agree with you

WHY IT MATTERS

Referrals start the conversation.

Your website finishes it.

Referrals start the conversation.

Your website finishes it.

Referrals start the conversation.

Your website finishes it.

You’ve built your reputation the hard way: good work, happy clients, people passing your name on.

But when someone looks you up, they don’t see any of that yet. They see a headline, a few buttons and a contact page. If those are vague, generic or a bit out of date, the doubt creeps in quietly, and they never tell you why they didn’t get in touch.

The trouble is that it’s hard to judge your own website. You know what you meant, so you read what you meant. This checklist gives you a stranger’s eyes.

A LOOK INSIDE

Small checks,

Small checks,

big difference.

It passes the swap test. Imagine a competitor’s logo above your headline. If it still makes perfect sense, it’s too generic.

Nothing says “Submit”. Each button says what actually happens, such as “Send my enquiry”.

Send yourself an enquiry. It arrived, and not in your spam folder. Nobody writes in to tell you their message vanished.

WHAT'S INSIDE

Six stops on the route

a prospect takes.

01

First look.

What people see before they even click, on Google and on their phone.

02

Your homepage headline.

Six checks for the first words they read properly, including the swap test.

03

Your proof.

Where doubt turns up, and where your best evidence should sit.

04

Your buttons.

Every enquiry passes through one. Make sure none of them says

05

Your contact page.

The last step before a message. Remove the reasons people hesitate.

06

After they press send.

Be your own mystery shopper and check the enquiry actually arrives.

THE ONE RULE

Only tick a box if a stranger would agree with you.

The empty boxes are your to-do list. Most of them take a sentence or two to fix, not a redesign.

It’s for you if…

You’re a consultant, coach or independent expert, and most of your work comes from referrals and reputation

Your website was built a while ago, or quickly, and you suspect it undersells you

You’d like practical fixes you can make yourself, in plain English

It’s probably not for you if…

You’re after advertising, search rankings or social media tactics

You want a full technical audit of your site’s code and speed

WHO MADE IT

Hi, I’m Luke.

Hi, I’m Luke.

I design brands and websites for consultants, coaches and independent experts, so what people find online matches what they’ve heard about you.

You work with me directly, from the first call to launch day. This checklist is the same set of questions I ask when I look at a client’s website for the first time.

See my work

He took a very basic landing page and transformed it into a clean, modern website with clear messaging and easy-to-use navigation. The feedback I’ve received has been fantastic, and the site truly reflects the quality of my work.

Vikash Dudhia

Medical Consultant

He designed my website exactly how I wanted it and has continued to check in to see how things are going, which shows he genuinely cares about his clients. Nothing is ever too much trouble.
